Mission

Do You See? Bound by vibrant colors and shapes, the following presentation is a hyper-consolidated exploration of my mind through illustration. Through colors and sharp lines, I escort you through my inner dystopia causing explosions in the eyes. I tap into what’s there, but not given. I am able to see the invisible, finding imagery in what most people tend to overlook. I come across everyday settings, like puddles, sweat droplets, coffee spills, sidewalk cement, anything...but the difference is I see something in it.

Method

Here, I share the idea that ‘before and after’ is just the ability to reveal what’s already there but perhaps unseen. I work in two subsets, digital and physical. In the digital world I use my iphone and index finger to give birth to my characters, caricatures, and creatures. In the physical world I use wine, bitters, purees, and other liquors to stain a canvas. Once dry, I superimpose an illustrated world of lost & found souls using the splatters of these liquids as their DNA. The stains serve as shouts from within while the forms that appear, wreaking expressive havoc on my page, are their voices. Be it physical or digital, what I sketch has always been there yet only I can see it. Dive in with me, and you will be able to see this for yourself. Shall we begin? Tell me...what do you see?

Do you see digital? Do you see Physical? What do you see?
